- Division Director – Abdominal Transplant Surgery – Loyola University Medical Center
Description
Loyola Medicine and Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine seek an exceptional surgeon to direct the Division of Abdominal Transplantation in the Department of Surgery. The ideal candidate should be a nationally recognized leader with an established record of accomplishments in clinical care, research and education. The division is a multi-organ abdominal transplant program that includes liver, kidney and pancreas transplantation, as well as hepatobiliary and robotic surgery. Loyola is ASTS approved site for fellowship training. In addition, there is an affiliated VA kidney transplantation program. The selected candidate will be committed to the continued growth and development of the abdominal transplant program, as well as supporting expansion of the hepatobiliary program.
The Division Director provides leadership, direction and ongoing administration and management for all aspects of the -Abdominal Transplantation Division including clinical service, surgical education and research. The candidate is responsible for recruitment and retention of high-quality faculty and is a visible and accessible mentor and role model to all division faculty, as well as planning and leading initiatives to facilitate clinical quality, academic and clinical productivity and enhancement of patient satisfaction. The division director works closely with the service line leadership and department leadership to develop and implement strategic plans to create well-rounded, high quality and efficient clinical services.
They must have completed an ASTS certified program or a program of equivalent certification, be Board eligible or Board certified by the American Board of Surgery and be licensed to practice in the State of Illinois at the time of hire. Salary will be commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will be at the rank of Professor.
This opportunity offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including:
