Earn $30 to $45 per hour, plus uncapped commission

Job Summary
The Diesel Technician II is responsible for delivering high-quality, efficient repair and maintenance services for heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This role requires advanced technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while upholding company standards for safety, workmanship, and customer service. In addition to vehicle repair, this position will support general maintenance needs for both the shop and the on-site Travel Plaza as required.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Operate in a professional, results-driven environment focused on safety, reliability, and superior customer service.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers with minimal supervision.
Apply advanced diesel and mechanical knowledge to identify wear conditions, failures, and performance issues.
Perform repairs and preventive maintenance within scope of training and experience.
Complete maintenance and minor repair tasks for the shop facility and on-site Travel Plaza as needed to support overall operations.
Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly and professionally.
Follow company Truck Service Standard Services and customer-specific programs.
Comply with all safety policies and immediately report unsafe conditions or practices.
Accurately follow oral and written instructions.
Maintain positive, cooperative working relationships across teams.
Treat all customers and coworkers with professionalism, respect, and respect for diversity.

Requirements
We are looking for:
-A reliable, experienced technician who takes pride in workmanship and contributes to team success.
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in a diesel repair or parts shop environment.
-Advanced mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
-Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
-Working knowledge of computer systems used for diagnostics, documentation, and reporting.
-Flexibility to work nights, weekends, some holidays, and in varying weather conditions.
-Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
-A professional resume that reflects relevant experience and accomplishments.
Physical Requirements
-Regular standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and bending.
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move heavy objects as required.
