POSITION SUMMARY 
The Development Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the Musical Bridges 
Around the World’s Development Plan. This position is responsible for ensuring that the organization's 
resource development activities are carried out in accordance with all agency policies and procedures. 
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES 
Administration of the Development Department 
Development and implementation of Musical Bridges development programs 
Preparation and implementation of strategies for potential donors 
Initiate, implement, and oversee all correspondence and informational tools for Development needs 
Coordinate meetings and provide support to the Development Committee 
Maintain senior staff involvement in the Development program 
Maintain all records of Donor and Corporate Sponsor Programs, including monthly reports 
Maintain a line of communication with all donors 
Schedule, plan, and coordinate all Special Event functions; provide creative input for new special 
events; involve selected, pertinent donors for participation 
Coordinate public information events 
Prepare informational media kits, brochures, and flyers 
Coordinate annual report preparation and production

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS 
Candidates must have previous development experience with capital campaigns, major donor cultivation, 
donor database maintenance, and corporate giving. Must be computer literate with knowledge and expertise 
in Virtuous software, preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills—experience in 
planned giving is helpful.
