The Deputy Hiring Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our work by meticulously reviewing and validating incoming tasks, providing logistical support to offices, and managing the office's administrative paperwork. This position requires someone with strong communication skills, adaptability to a fast-paced environment, and a keen willingness to learn
The candidate must also have demonstrated professionalism and tact in communications with a diversity of individuals. Strong organizational and time management skills, acute attention to detail and ability to work well with others on the campaign team is a must. This position can be based in Cincinnati, Columbus, or Cleveland, Ohio.
This position will take ownership over the following buckets of work:
- Establishing a high-functioning efficient hiring and onboarding process for all regional offices at the direction of Hiring Manager and supervising a team of in office hiring administrators.
- Managing a team overseeing all aspects of hiring, onboarding, and personnel management for the company.
- Check the validity of all incoming work with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ensure all hiring and onboarding paperwork is completed and cataloged in a timely and orderly manner as required,
Utilize multiple systems to report on offices’ logistical needs. - Support office staff as needed in other administrative areas.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment and efficiently manage time to complete tasks.
- Participate in all provided trainings to stay updated on processes and systems.
- Maintain daily reporting and report directly to the Hiring Manager
- Participate in team meetings as necessary.
- Working with other operations members to capture any necessary information for compliance.
- Managing reporting processes out on short- and long-term projects to organizational leadership and key external stakeholders.
- Working as a member of the operations team and serving as a direct point of contact for office administrators.
Required Skills and Abilities:
The Deputy Hiring Manager will be a member of the Operations Team. Must be able to manage high-level inter- and intra-departmental projects—including acting as a point of contact for the field team to external departments as needed.
Strong project management skills and the ability to hold teams accountable for adhering to company processes, standards and systems. Must also have demonstrated professionalism and tact in communications with a diversity of individuals. Strong organizational and time management skills, acute attention to detail and ability to work well with others on the campaign team is a must.
The ideal candidate would have experience in campaigns or in the progressive movement.
This position must be based in Columbus, Cincinnati, or Cleveland, Ohio.
The Deputy Hiring Manager has:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an office environment
- Experience with ADP, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, and Google Chrome/Firefox.
- Experience with Project Management Software Asana/Monday/etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organization

Position Details The Deputy Hiring Manager is a temporary, full-time salaried position. Benefits include health/dental insurance, vacation, and retirement match after one continuous year of employment. Prior to starting the position, the Hiring Manager must reside in Columbus, Cleveland, or Cincinnati Ohio, possess a cell phone, a driver’s license, and have access to a reliable insured automobile.
Extensive travel is required. Weekend and evening hours will be required. Work-related expenses are reimbursed according to policy. Physical requirements include frequent standing, canvassing for long periods of time, the ability to sit in meetings, and lift moderate weight for supplies. The ability to thrive under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and complete projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
Salary This position offers a highly competitive salary, based on experience. Salary Range for this position will be $65,000-$72,000.
