Job Title: U.S. Contracts Manager
Location: California, United States (Remote – U.S. based)
Department: Sales
Reports To: Head of Sales, U.S. Operations
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to support our rapidly growing U.S.
defense and government business. This role will be responsible for managing, reviewing,
negotiating, and administering contracts with U.S. government agencies and defence
customers, as well as other commercial customers, ensuring compliance with applicable
federal regulations and company policies.
The ideal candidate has experience with U.S. government contracting, including FAR,
DFARS, and related regulatory requirements, and is comfortable partnering closely with
Sales, Legal, Finance, and program teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of commercial and U.S. government and defence-related
contracts, including proposal support, contract negotiation, execution, administration,
modification, and closeout - Review, negotiate, and interpret contract terms and conditions with customers
including U.S. government agencies, prime contractors, and defence customers - Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal
- Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other applicable government
regulations - Identify contractual risks and obligations, advise internal stakeholders, and
recommend risk mitigation strategies and escalate non-compliant terms where
mandated by policy - Support Sales and Business Development teams during proposal preparation,
- RFP/RFQ responses, and contract negotiations
- Serve as a key point of contact for contractual matters with customers, partners, and
internal teams - Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and compliance requirements throughout
the contract lifecycle - Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Program Management, and Compliance teams on
government-related issues such as audits, flow-down requirements, certifications,
and reporting obligations - Stay current on changes to government contracting regulations and advise the
business on potential impacts
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent
experience) - Minimum [5] years of experience in contracts management, with a strong focus on
U.S. government and defence contracting - Demonstrated hands-on experience working with FAR, DFARS, and government
contract flow-down requirements - Experience supporting or negotiating contracts with U.S. federal agencies, defence
primes, or subcontractors - Strong understanding of government procurement processes and compliance
obligations - Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex contractual concepts
to non-legal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting international companies entering or expanding in the U.S.
defence market - Familiarity with government audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inquiries
- Experience working closely with Sales organizations and customer-facing teams
- Professional certification (e.g., NCMA/CPCM, CFCM, or similar) is a plus
Work Environment
This is a hybrid / remote U.S.-based position. May require occasional travel for customer
meetings, negotiations, or internal planning sessions.
