COMPTROLLER — GM / CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP

Preston Hood Chevrolet is a high-performing dealership known for exceptional customer service, strong profitability, and community presence. We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Comptroller to lead financial operations and partner with leadership to drive performance across Sales, F&I, Service, Parts, and Fixed Operations.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Comptroller will oversee all financial functions and serve as a key advisor to the Dealer Principal and executive team. This role ensures accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and data-driven decision-making to support growth and profitability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead all accounting functions including GL, payroll, AR/AP, month-end close, and tax filings
Produce financial statements, KPI reporting, and variance analysis with actionable insights
Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, and floorplan financing
Oversee budgeting and forecasting; support strategic planning and decision-making
Ensure compliance with GM/Chevrolet standards and regulatory requirements
Strengthen internal controls and maintain audit readiness
Partner with department leaders to improve profitability and efficiency
Coordinate audits, lender reporting, and financial reviews
Lead and develop the accounting team
Drive improvements in margins, fixed ops absorption, inventory turns, and expense control

QUALIFICATIONS
Dealership accounting experience required (GM/Chevrolet preferred)
Strong leadership with a hands-on approach
Deep understanding of dealership financials and reporting
Ability to drive results and influence decision-making
