The Eye Institute of Utah and Surgicare Center of Utah are physician-owned ophthalmology organizations with a strong reputation for excellence, innovation, and research. With an engaged Board and established clinical leadership, the organization is entering its next phase focused on operational discipline, financial clarity, and scalable leadership.

We are seeking a seasoned healthcare executive to serve as Chief Executive Officer / Financial Director and partner closely with owner-physicians and the Board to lead the organization forward.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Oversee revenue cycle operations, cash flow, and financial controls
• Drive operational efficiency across administrative, business, and ASC support functions
• Establish standardized workflows, management structures, and communication systems
• Build, lead, and hold accountable a high-performing management team
• Ensure disciplined, ROI-driven marketing and business development efforts
• Support growth through improved utilization, access, and internal optimization
• Elevate patient experience through operational excellence and financial transparency
• Serve as the primary operational liaison to the Board of Director

Candidate Profile

• Senior healthcare executive experience, ideally in physician-owned practices or ASCs
• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated operational leadership
• Proven ability to lead multi-department organizations through structure and accountability
• Experience partnering closely with Boards and owner-physicians
• Ophthalmology, ASC, or EMR optimization experience preferred
