Seasonal/Summer position – June 1 – July 1
Positions are open at our ACA accredited camp, Camp Skymeadow (Avonmore, PA)
The Camp Med Camp Counselor works to provide an effective overnight camp program by supervising and providing program and daily camp activities to all Camp Med campers, providing direct assistance and support to each camper, and effectively working with fellow Unit Counselors, Unit Leader, and the Administrative Team. The Camp Med Camp Counselor will work specifically with campers who are enrolled in Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania’s Camp Med program. The program is designed for highschool aged campers who are interested in health professions. The Camp Counselor will be responsible for meeting ratio, aligned with GSUSA’s guidelines for both on-camp and off-site sessions.
This is a short-term position. Camp Med staff are required to be on-site at Camp Skymeadow in Avonmore, PA from June 1, 2026 – July 1, 2026
Position Details:
Duration: June 1, 2026 – July 1, 2026
Compensation: Daily rate, camp housing during duration of contract
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a health-related undergraduate or graduate degree program
- Minimum age of 18
- Successful completion of background checks
