Your role and responsibilities
The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing business growth strategies to drive revenue expansion and increase market share. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including researching and analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, including C-level executives, to understand their business needs and identify opportunities to provide value-added solutions.
- Sales and Revenue Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth, including identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs, and use this information to inform business development strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development strategies.
- Proposal Development: Develop and submit proposals, pitches, and other sales materials to potential clients, highlighting the value proposition and competitive advantage of the company's products or services.
- Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build relationships, identify new business opportunities, and stay informed about industry trends and developments.
- Account Management: Manage and grow existing client relationships, including identifying and pursuing upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
This Job can be Performed from anywhere in the US.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
This position is eligible for participation in an IBM Sales Incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change. The compensation range listed for this position is the IBM Reference Salary that is used when you are not actively participating in a sales plan. Your actual base pay plus incentive opportunity will be determined by the Incentive Plan assigned to you.
