Job Summary
Serves as a team or crew lead and/or shift point person, independently performing a full range of cleaning, custodial, and janitorial duties to support the care, cleaning, and maintenance of assigned facilities. This role may include work across multiple units, areas, or locations.

Responsibilities
Lead and mentor individuals or crews; inspect work to ensure quality and compliance with health and safety standards
Interact with facility staff, residents, patients, or contractors; investigate and resolve cleanliness or equipment issues
Respond to immediate safety or maintenance concerns and escalate when necessary
Complete daily logs, reports, and documentation
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; order items or notify supervisor of needs
Perform outdoor tasks such as removing snow, debris, and garbage; mowing and trimming grounds; moving furniture or equipment
Carry out light to heavy custodial tasks including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, shampooing rugs, washing surfaces, and disinfecting areas
Use appropriate chemicals and disinfectants; dispose of contaminated and non-contaminated waste properly
Perform routine facility maintenance such as changing lightbulbs, adjusting fixtures, or resetting equipment

Knowledge of cleaning methods and practices in large complexes or health facilities
Understanding of customer and personal service principles
Familiarity with health, environmental, and safety standards
Ability to read, write, and prepare written and oral reports
Strong listening and comprehension skills
Ability to organize tasks or objects based on specific rules or patterns
Strong attention to detail at close range
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
Clear communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to plan, train, and direct the work of others
Ability to identify problems and potential issues
Willingness to maintain a professional appearance appropriate to duties
