Description
We’re looking for someone who enjoys keeping things organized, follows through consistently, and can quietly keep a small nonprofit running behind the scenes.
The Montana Mediation Association (MTMA) is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented professional to serve as our Association Manager.
This is a part-time, independent contractor role supporting the day-to-day operations of a small, statewide nonprofit professional membership organization.
Role Overview
The Association Manager helps keep the organization running smoothly, including:
- Monitoring and responding to email (members and non-members)
- Maintaining membership records and supporting renewals
- Preparing monthly reports (membership and financial summaries)
- Supporting board meetings (Zoom setup, minutes)
- Distributing the monthly newsletter
- Maintaining basic website updates (roster, minutes, resource links)
- This role requires consistent follow-through, organization, and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Compensation
$500/month retainer (estimated 15 hours/month)
Additional hours (if needed) billed at $33/hour
Key Requirements
- Strong reliability and follow-through
- Experience with basic bookkeeping or financial tracking
- Comfort learning new systems (we use Monkeypod, Google Workspace, and Zoom)
Location
Preference for Montana or Mountain West candidates; remote considered.
