Description

KSNV is seeking a seasoned Facilities Maintenance Technician who will ensure the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of the television station. This role is responsible for both general maintenance and janitorial functions, supporting a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for staff, guests, and visitors.

Responsibilities

1. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and staff
2. Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance, cleanliness, and safety needs
3. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize equipment or facility breakdowns
4. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues and execute timely repairs
5. Perform janitorial and custodial duties, including but not limited to:

Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, offices, studios, common areas, and breakrooms

Emptying trash and recycling receptacles

Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and floor care

Replenishing restroom and cleaning supplies

• Follow proper safety procedures and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly
• Maintain open communication with the General Manager regarding facility condition, maintenance issues, and cleaning schedules
• Submit weekly maintenance and cleaning reports; track work orders and service tickets
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and workplace cleanliness standards
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Routine use of office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers may be required

Qualifications

1. General experience in building maintenance, custodial services, and repair of equipment
2. General knowledge of HVAC and/or electrical systems preferred
3. Familiarity with cleaning methods, tools, and chemical safety standards
4. Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, analytical problem-solving, and communication skills
5. General computer skills, including email, Excel, and digital maintenance or cleaning logs
