Pay Scale: $55,000-$60,000 Location: Rockport, Texas

Rockport Country Club is seeking an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our dedicated agronomy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated turf professional ready to take the next step in their career while enjoying life in the beautiful coastal town of Rockport.

Position Overview

As the Assistant Superintendent, you will support daily golf course maintenance operations, help lead the grounds crew, and ensure the course remains in top playing condition year?round. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands?on environment and is passionate about golf course management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily course maintenance operations including mowing, irrigation, and cultural practices
• Supervise and train grounds staff to maintain high standards of course conditioning
• Monitor turf health and assist with pest, disease, and fertility programs
• Operate and maintain equipment safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with the Superintendent on planning, scheduling, and project execution

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of golf specific turf experience
• Working knowledge of irrigation systems
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
