Overview

Lake Forest Golf Club is a public facility founded in 2000 and has been fortunate to consistently seek and make upgrades to the golfers' experiences every season. As the course continues to mature and grow, we are supported by a wonderful owner and management team that have a strong vision for growing the business and improving the course and facilities. We have expanded our operation from a small farm house to a complete clubhouse capable of hosting weddings, banquets, and corporate outings.

We are a fun and energetic facility that hosts a large number of outings, leagues, and events. Our course generally sees 200-300 players per day in season and our typical season runs from April-November.

Experience Required

The ideal candidate should have a passion for the game of golf and be interested in pursuing a career in the industry. Candidates with a strong desire to learn and grow are encouraged to apply. This would be an ideal position for both an experienced assistant professional who is looking to teach and learn skills to take the next step in their career, as well as for an entry level assistant professional looking to develop a wide variety of skills.

Essential Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming atmosphere for our customers
• Assist the Head Professional with league, tournament, and event execution
• Assist in the overseeing of all outside operations, including the cart and starter staffs
• Communicate with staff regularly about upcoming events and outings
• Adhere to, teach, and enforce all staff policies and procedures
• Maintain a profitable and optimized tee sheet
• Assist the Head Professional with merchandising, including inventory management, involvement in the buying plan, and sitting in on vendor meetings
• Assist with the administration of the World Handicapping System
