Your role and responsibilities
During your internship, you can enhance your knowledge and gain professional experience by working on client projects. This role provides an exceptional opportunity to build a compelling portfolio, acquire new skills, gain insights into diverse industries, and embrace novel challenges for your future career.

Work experiences you could be exposed to:
* Market Dynamics: Immersing yourself in primary research and collaborate with dynamic teams assisting clients in navigating market trends and refining competitive strategies.
* Operational Excellence: Support operational improvement by designing models for a seamless client experience, contributing to heightened efficiency and effectiveness in operational processes.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Support workshops, meetings, and interviews to understand and document requirements collaborating with diverse teams to capture and synthesizing essential information.
* Project Exposure: Gain hands on experience shadowing product teams and enterprise-wide data integrations. Contribute to data analytics assessments and actively participate in cloud migration and system implementations across major platforms.

Required education
High School Diploma/GED

Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
* Currently pursuing a university degree with a track-record of academic success
* Strong interpersonal skills that enhance collaboration and relationship building, while also managing dynamic workloads in an agile environment
* Have initiative and passion to actively seek new knowledge and improve skills while embracing a growth mindset to assimilate diverse viewpoints
* Demonstrate leadership experience and ability to communicate effectively through active listening; while also be willing to adapt and have a readiness to take ownership of tasks and challenges
* Interest in one or more of the following types of consulting: strategy, application, business transformation, or experience.
* Willingness to travel as needed
Preferred technical and professional experience
*Majors: Computer Science, MIS/IT, Computer Engineering, Data Science, SW Engineering, or related fields
*Can understand clients' needs and challenges, applying a creative and logical approach to identify solutions
* Demonstrate foundational quantitative analysis skills and ability to develop data driven recommendations
* Exposure to one of the following programming technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, XML, SQL) is a plus
*Experience: Cloud native projects (academic, personal, or internship count); Agile ways of working (ambiguous requirements, evolving scope); Programming (read, debug, and explain code)
*Skills/Tech: Programming fundamentals (.NET/ASP.NET, C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.); SQL Basics; networking basics, Terraform/CloudFormation, Linux fundamentals
*A passion for innovative ideas, coupled with the ability to understand and assimilate different points of view.
* Drive to overcome the most challenging or difficult obstacles and look for ways to improve results.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines, while maintaining focus in an environment with conflicting demands.
*Familiarity with Microservices architect and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
*Passionate about use of AI technology for business advancement; and enjoys experiential learning
*Ability to think laterally and consider multiple solution options for a given problem
*Operational & consulting mindset (translate technical work to business impact); Communication (ability to clearly communicate technical concepts - verbal and written); Professional readiness (comfort in client-facing environments)
*Highly motivated, with clear evidence of drive and significant achievements.
*Technical understanding of modern software development patterns
*Flexibility to work across architecture building both front-end and backend
*Exposure to cloud and AI concepts such as Azure services, data platforms, security, and AI models through coursework, labs, internships, or personal projects, with a willingness to keep learning.
*Experience using tools like Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar AI assistants to research, write, analyze, and improve productivity, while applying critical thinking and validation.

OTHER RELEVANT JOB DETAILS
Supplemental 1 employees may be eligible for up to 8 paid holidays, minimum of 56 hours paid sick time and the IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan. IBM offers paid family medical leave and disability benefits to eligible employees where required by applicable law.
