Analyst, NY, NY. Independently dvlp investment theses & generate actionable long/short credit & equity ideas. Reqs Bachelor's deg in Bus. Admin, Finance, Economics or a techn'l field. Must have 2 yrs of exp: working directly under a Sr Analyst or Portfolio Mgr in a team-based buy-side research process; conducting fundamental credit & equity research & analysis across various sectors, incl healthcare, pet care, leisure & sports/fitness, as well as investing in bonds, loans, equities, credit derivatives & equity derivatives; supporting investment decisions by contributing to idea dvlpmt, presenting findings to investment teams, & helping formulate recommendations; building, updating, & maintaining detailed fin'l models to assess bus. performance, capital structure, & potential investment outcomes; prep'g internal research summaries & materials used by Portfolio Mgrs & senior investment prof'ls; participating in diligence conversations w/ mgmt teams, bankers, & subject-matter experts to validate or refine research views; reviewing credit agreements & bond indentures & identifying key fin'l & legal terms w/ guidance from Sr team members; monitoring the performance of existing investment positions & synthesizing relevant fin'l & macro dvlpmts into internal memos; executing fin'l restructurings of investments as working w/ a Sr Analyst on completing Amend & Extend and/or Chapter 7/11 Bankruptcy filing transactions; & mentoring interns or Jr resources, incl overseeing discrete deliverables & research assignments. Occasional travel (10% of time) w/in US or Europe for investment conferences or diligence of potential investment opportunities. $200,000/yr.
