ACADEMIC SLEEP NEUROLOGIST
MASS GENERAL BRIGHAM
DEPARTMENT OF NEUROLOGY
Division of Sleep Neurology at Mass General Brigham is seeking a board-certified / board-eligible academic neurologist with strong interest and expertise in Sleep Medicine.
We have a busy outpatient practice and several subspecialty clinical programs. Our Sleep Laboratories, accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, offers comprehensive sleep diagnostic services, including home sleep apnea testing. With our Sleep Medicine colleagues from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, we offer an ACGME-accredited fellowship training program in Sleep Medicine. Our research, fueled by multidisciplinary projects supported by NIH and foundations, centers on movement disorders of sleep, sleep dysregulation in epilepsy and neurodegenerative disorders, REM Sleep Behavior Disorder, and circadian disorders.
The candidate will have the opportunity to develop a clinical practice at one or more Mass General Brigham sites (Brigham and Women’s/Faulkner Hospital and South Shore Hospital) and integrate with academic divisions to pursue academic interests in research and training of residents, fellows, and medical students.
An academic appointment is possible at Harvard Medical School and will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements. The Harvard appointment carries an obligation to teach within the Harvard community a minimum of 50 hours per year. We anticipate the successful candidate will be qualified for appointment at the Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor level.
Candidates should possess/be eligible for a Massachusetts license to practice medicine and be board-eligible or certified in Neurology and Sleep Medicine.
The ideal candidate should have a strong record as a clinician in the management of sleep disorders and should possess a passionate commitment to patient care, academics, and teaching.
